Art of Monaco: the painter and sculptor Cesare Catania exhibits at the Grimaldi Forum
After having amazed the critics and the press from all over the world several times, after having received the nickname of “Leonardo da Vinci Modern” from some English magazines, the Italian artist Cesare Catania returns to exhibit in Munich with two unique works of their kind .
The shocking sculpture entitled “The man who does not see” and the refined and elegant painting “Harlequin in the land of giants” will be officially presented for the first time at an international level.
“Man lives recklessly in the society that surrounds him …”
This is the reflection of the artist who comments on his own sculpture: a work of art that seems to literally come out of the canvas. The second work has a completely different style, a surrealist oil painting on canvas depicting Harlequin concentrating on running on a sand board in a reality much larger than himself. Even in this
Case the similarities between the Harlequin, a character so dear to the author, and the human race.
During the exhibition there will also be the sculpture entitled “La Bocca dell’Etna“, a contemporary work of art
in which the Italian master expresses his inspiration by demonstrating how it is possible to combine such different materials as steel, silicone, acrylic and natural pigments.
The three works of art can be viewed at the Cesare Catania ART stand within the Top Marques 2018 exhibition, which will be held at the Grimaldi Forum from 19 to 22 April, during the week of the Rolex Masters Tennis Cup.
